A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Cyanocitta cristata
Baby blue jay only able to make shirt hops and no sustained flight.
My back yard...just grass and one elm tree. Unable to locate nest but parents are keeping a close eye on the baby bird.

If this is your backyard ,then a fledgling should be safe here . Safe location,no cats.
I had found a dove fledgling in a location where it had about 40 percent of survival chance ,what with the cars, cats and dogs and people walking on that side walk,
I took it to the wild life museum.
Dove being doting parents waited for two days for the baby. i have been remorseful since.
