Japanese beetle

Description:

Beetle-like insect with small white protrusions on its posterior surface where its dorsal and ventral surface meet. It would raise its back legs up (the pair) when I approached closely with a camera.

Habitat:

They were eating the leaves on an American hazelnut shrub.

Hi Kevin! Nice spotting. I removed it from the Signs of Wildlife mission as that mission is not for organisms themselves but just for evidence that they were around. Thanks!
