Habitat:

Native to the south-central part of the United States.

Notes:

This little guy was a pet. They apparently got tired of him and were releasing him back to the wild, my daughter took him instead.

Based on the coloring of the spots on it's neck, we may have a female one here. I'll try to get a good photo of that tomorrow. :)
