Actually the sundew traps are sweet scented, so they attract nectar feeders. The seed producing flowers are held high above the traps so that they don't accidentally trap their own pollinators.

The traps are located along the stem The flowers are on top. It probably traps the insects when they are crawling upwards towards the flower. Marvel of nature!

From what I've seen of our Tasmanian sundews, they seem mostly to catch small flies and gnats. The cups are too small, I think, to catch honeybees, although the native bees are small enough.
