According to the book Remarkable Trees of the World by Thomas Pakenham, this Dragon tree, the exact one is in the book, modern botanists say about 600 years is about the limit for this kind of tree.
The oldest trees in the world are Bristlecone Pines in the white mountains of California. A specimen of over 4600 is the oldest living tree known to science.
