Prickly Pear Cactus

Opuntia species

Notes:

Prickly Pear in fruit. We took some of these back to camp to try and eat. They were very seedy and we got little hairy thorns in our fingers. :(

Yes, in Mexico people frequently eat that fruit and they call it TUNA.
Its very juicy and sweet, but you have to be carefull with the torns on the fruit skin.
