Hi Emma...
I grew up with horses, and still have them on our farm today.
They do sleep standing up, but also they lie down to sleep as well. They generally don't fall down, but if they do, they are very agile & athletic and have very little trouble getting back up. :)

The little horse is playing, rolling in the snow and seemed to really enjoy it.

Don't horses sleep in a standing position?
Once they fall down ,do they need help standing up? i know that cows have a hard time standing up.
