Reddish brown crown with gray stripe and a wide, white stripe on throat. Chest is white with brown streaks that converge into a central spot.


Spotted in vegetation next to a pond.


These birds forage on the ground, in bushes, and in shallow water. They eat insects, seeds, and may also eat small crustaceans.
