Description:

Long furry body, short legs, bushy tail, upright furry ears, triangular shaped head. In sunlight, the fur appears reddish in color.

Habitat:

Low growing evergreens and boulders near Dream Lake, as alpine lake in Rocky Mountains National Park.

Notes:

The marten was darting about over and under the rocks, avoiding detection by hikers.
