Flannel Moth Caterpillar

Description:

An approx. 2" long caterpillar covered in long hairs. Locals say touching them will cause a painful inflammation that can last for several hours, even cause a fever and nausea in some people.

Habitat:

Found feeding on an orange tree at night.
