Description:

Bee carefull, this beetle may tweak you harmful. This beetle is a bit dirty due to its living place nearby a sand bank of the Danube. Normally the beetle is darb brown. The femal beetle does not have these long mandibles.

Habitat:

Normally in the forest. This one I spotted a the bank of the Danube, but you can find there a lot of big trees too.

Thanks. They are about 8 cm long and if you are sitting somewhere and suddenly these beetles apear you jump up for second :-).
