Argia vivida
The female is a light beige with darker markings. Her coloration gives her the ability to blend into the vegetation, rocks, soil, debris that she will encounter. This species is very closely associated with spring-fed streams, and generally remains close to where it emerged.
Spotted in a moist meadow with tall grass and various shrubs and pine trees next to Wilson creek at Helen McCabe State Park.
This species is found in eastern British Columbia and Alberta south to Texas, New Mexico, and Baja California.
