Indigenous in North America. Some naturalized, vital population in Switzerland (over 100 years old), Germany (Middle Franconia, Lausitz and Bavarian Forest), Ireland and Sweden.
Spotted this one in the botanical garden.

Hello Daniele, that's true there are some naturalized populations in Mittelfranken, Lausitz and Bavaria. The natural distribution area is North America. I spotted this one in our botanical garden. I guess I should add this bit of information. I is really interesting that they coexist with the indegenous plants, thanks!
Very interesting you have some of those naturalized in German Meik! We have them in a couple of swamp areas in Switzerland where they coexist with indigenous insectivorous plants.
