Description:

1/4-1/2" (6-14 mm). Ash gray (looks dusty). Thorax often has 3 stripes. Abdomen gray on top with black patterns & a reddish-brown tip, underside of abdomen is black. Compound eyes facing forward. Clear wings with brown veins.

Habitat:

Wherever garbage, carcasses or excrement are exposed to daylight.

Notes:

spotted at the house, out back where the dogs go.
