Description:

Tall erect plant with dark blue flowers (like daisies). Flowers grow from top of stem. Small narrow leaves. Roots are large and irregular. Roots can be washed, roasted and ground as a coffee substitute.

Habitat:

Disturbed areas, roadsides.

Notes:

Roots can be used as coffee substitute (no caffeine).
