I do not believe it is edible... and the only cacti I know of that are edible would be prickly pear... however there are numerous succulents that have edible parts to them...

haha I'm not sure... people say its because they look like little upside down bottles...
I love the name! I suppose the implication is that it wouldn't hurt if you fell into it.
