Polygonum odoratum Lour.
this is some kind of herb...use in vietnamese noodle dishes...very fragrant!
Christine...you are making me salivating when I am reading ...not a pretty thing!
I love to add it to noodle dishes and warm meat and seafood salads. A great and very simple way of trying this herb is to tear three or four leaves into a bowl and pour over a simple clear chicken stock that has been flavoured with lemongrass, chilli, fish sauce and ginger. Add some noodles and other greens for a delicious filling and nutritious meal.
now I know where to use it for..coz I still don't know where to use it..hmm..i'm gonna try cooking that Ayam Laksa later!
we were the same when we came here in Ireland, YouTube it, and as long as there is an Asian market around. Salivating too here. must cook it tomorrow!
salivating...there is no one here in houston that can do this dish...too bad...i just have to dream one up
I love Asam laksa too! That's right Susan Malaysia has many laksas', Penang laksa, yummy!
Now I know what to call it...laksa leaf...yumm...makes me think of asam laksa!
I grow that in my garden here in Philippines..It smells like coriander but it has this peppery taste.
