Polyphemus Moth Caterpillar

Description:

Translucent neon green caterpillar approximately 3" in length and 0.75" in diameter. Metallic gold spots found on exterior along with white/yellow tufts of hair and various other misc. markings.

Habitat:

Found crawling on grass under large oak tree.

Notes:

Caterpillar was being played with by a cat. Began releasing silk like substance from posterior upon placing on a surface to be photographed.
