Great Green Bush-Cricket nymph

Tettigonia viridissima

Description:

I found this type of katydid perched like that in a daisy flower. He was very patient with the photo session. This insects are generally green, with a brown-colored band on top of the body. The organ of the stridulation of the males is generally brown. I think this nymph is a male as this organ can be seen in the second picture. The adults have developed wings.

Habitat:

Prairie, Connecterra, Hoge Kempen National Park, Maasmechelen.
