Twinflower

Linnaea borealis

Description:

This is a small, delicate plant often standing only a few inches above the surrounding mosses and lichens. Its twin flowers are a lovely lavender shade.

Habitat:

This plant is found throughout the northern realm of the northern hemisphere with its range dropping south in mountainous country. I find this plant frequently in the northern boreal forests, where I wilderness canoe.

Thanks Emma and Susan.

Bejoubum, I didn't know that, but it is such an elegant, delicate flower that I'm not surprised.
