Pink Earth Lichen

Diabaeis baeomyces

Description:

Very pretty crustose lichen with a greenish-gray thallus and pale pink fruiting bodies. I'm not good with lichen ID's but a friend tells it me appears to be pink earth lichen or Diabaeis baeomyces.

Habitat:

Dry, steep roadside bank in full sun on Buffalo Cove Game Land about 2600' elevation. (pics are of a piece of it relocated to the shade in an attempt to show the pink apothecia better).
