Chiton

Class Polyplacophora

Description:

Oval shaped mollusks. The larger ones are gray with few markings and the smaller ones (presumably younger?) are clear-green with lots of markings.

Habitat:

On the rocks at the beach, less than 1 meter from the ocean.

Notes:

Not sure these can be identified past class so I have put that in the scientific name field.

They are from the Family of Chitonidae.
This one could possibly be Snake Skin Chiton under the genus of Sypharochiton.
