Yellow chili pepper

Capsicum frutescens

Description:

Capsicum frutescens is a species of chili pepper that is sometimes considered to be part of the species Capsicum annuum. Pepper cultivars of C. frutescens can be annual or short-lived perennial plants. They are used as food source, or as simple ornamental plants, due to the bright colored fruits thee produce. The pictured plant was spotted growing in a flower pot in central Chora, Skyros island, Greece.
