Red Eared Slider Turtle

Trachemys scripta

Description:

This is my turtle, Cooper. His shell is about the width of a CD, maybe a little bigger. His under-shell is yellow with big green spots. He has "claws" but they aren't that long.

Habitat:

Lakes/Ponds in America. Are usually kept as domestic pets. My turtle lives in a terrarium in my basement.

Notes:

He likes to eat feeder comets (small goldfish), strawberries, carrots, earth worms and romaine lettuce. He is seven months old.
