Yellow Jacket

Description:

About 3/4 inch long.

Habitat:

Spotted on the edge of an open field and wetlands.

Notes:

This yellow jacket was chewing into the caterpillar. I didn't see it sting at all. When I approached to take the film it flew directly at my face and I ducked away. That's why the video is so short. I think you can glimpse what it was doing and the damage it did to the caterpillar.
