Thanks for your help Sarah - the closest I could get was to assume that it was an immature Russula, but really I have no idea. Hope you have better luck :)

Yeah, nature is FUNNY!!
I have been searching for the ID on this. Closest ones I have seen (so far) are brown, not red. The hunt is on!! I am really curious, now!! ;)

Haha Sarah! It was weird, and small. I had though it could be a "baby" mushroom, but a "zit" mushroom is also very fitting...
