This plume moth has two splits in each forewing, which limits it to the subfamily Deuterocopinae. Within that subfamily, this stocky appearance and the relatively short splits indicate the genus Deuterocopus. Taiwan has three species in this genus (see http://taibnet.sinica.edu.tw/chi/taibnet...). The other two are darker than D. socotranus.
