A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
The tops were flat and red with a touch of white and a touch of brown on opposite sides. It looked like it was crackle-painted red over a white surface. The underside was tan and looked like pores. These popped up after 3 days of showers in the afternoon. It was dry to touch. The dogs ran several over. I found this one relatively intact but broken from the ground. There were lots of weeds in the backyard because it's hard Georgia Red Clay and some dog waste and a little bit of leaf litter. For winter, I had winter rye growing there.
