Description:

These are tiny insects who feeds on plant sap. They typically have an enlarged and adorned pronotum, sometimes with bizarre shapes, probably for mimicking with the environment or imitating other insects like ants.

Hopefully, the Cladonota will get some well deserved attention from the scientific community at large in order to document them further. I did a basic image search for all the Cladonota to see if this one came up. Yours seems to be the only one photographed.
