Squirrel and Chipmunk

Sciurus carolinensis and Tamias striatus or Tamias (Tamias) striatus

Description:

Today was the day of multiple species feeding at the feeder. This particular photo series began with the chipmunk on the top of the feeder and then the squirrel appeared. The chipmunk took off. The 1st and 2nd picture show the difference in size of these two related (sort of) critters.

Thanks Emma and Daniele! It almost seems like they are "friends" but they are not. The plentiful sunflower seeds make them friends...I guess.
