Caterpillar

Description:

My friend Victor and I were touring the ruins of Tikal when we found this caterpillar It was at least 10 cm long and almost 2 to 3 cm wide so quite big. The guide told us it was a future Morpho butterfly but when I look online it does not seem to be the caterpillar for this species. Can anyone help me ID it?

Habitat:

Rainforest of Guatemala (Yucatan peninsule).

Notes:

Picture made by Victor M. Diaz Perez.
