When I found this Garden spider it was already feeding on a grasshopper near the center of the web in pic 2. Then another grasshopper landed in its web about 8 inches away and in less than 12 seconds the spider subdued its new prey (pics 1 and 3) and went back to the center of the web to feed on the first grasshopper.
Spotted in an overgrown meadow next to a stream.
