Wollemia in Walsrode.. Good to see! One of the world's olders and rarest trees. The Wollemi Pine is a native conifer that dates back to the time of the dinosaurs and was previously thought extinct until its chance discovery in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.

You got me excited for a second there when I saw Wollemi Pine. I thought this might be one in the wild. The greenhouse at my work just got one. The gardener there was very excited about it.
Wollemi pine is very interesting. It was only known from fossil records until 1994 when it was discovered in a temperate rainforest in New South Wales. Despite its name, it is not a pine or in the same family.
