Description:

This beetle is characterised by a somewhat coppery or greenish metallic tint. The typical form, characterised by a metallic pronotum, is widespread in Europe, except for most of Spain and the Southern Italy

Habitat:

Lush green near water. This beetle was about 2 inches (5 to 6 cm.) long, antenna not included.

Hi sttweets,

I'm sorry but this is not Cerambyx scopolii but Aromia moschata :) C. scopolii is black and looks much more "crumbled", your beetle shows the typical metallic green-to-brown of A. moschata and is rather smooth overall.
