Spotting

Description:

Sorry for the poor pictures. We think this is some type of water snail. It mainly stays right under the surface of the water.

Habitat:

This was found in a small drainage ditch in Mississippi. We collected some water to put in our aquarium and the snail appeared in the aquarium after that. The snail mainly stays right under the top of the water.

Notes:

Can anyone tell me what type of snail this is and what it eats?
