Description:

A shrub of 1.5'-3' tallwith reddish-brown stems that have shedding bark. The leaves are thick and 5-parted. The flowers are 1.5"-2", and bright yellow, with rounded petals.

Habitat:

Bogs, tundra, and occasionally alpine slopes
