Great Blue Heron

Ardea herodias

Beautiful, graceful bird with a bluish color on its body and white on its neck and face. A rather tall bird, when it flies it folds its neck back.

Found in a lake feeding on small fish hiding along the bank.

Thanks! We did manage to see it grab a small fish but I think it got away.
