Protogoniomorpha temora, the Blue Mother-of-Pearl or Eastern Blue Beauty, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family.
Seen on bushes by the side of a dirt road running through the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, SW Uganda.

Should be Protogoniomorpha temora formerly called Salamis temora.

thanks Kathleen, and there are more to come. Saw some beautiful ones deeper into the forest! So far have just been walking along the dirt road...
