it is unfortunately, there aren't so many living in India though but on the internet there are almost no information about them :/ good luck
thanks Injica, i hope we can get a species name for it. Darkling beetle seems to be a broad group of beetles.

Look alike Raspberry beetle (Byturus tomentosus)
It is not a dung beetle. Dung beetles are much broader and rounded in shape and its exoskeleton is much darker and shiny.
Looks like a dung beetle, or at the vary least some sort of scarab beetle.
