Teloschistes chrysophthalmus

Description:

This fruticose lichen is considered a twig lichen (usually found on twigs). Characterized by the round orange apothecia that projects outward and have tiny spiny projections.

Habitat:

Spotted on an unknown desert shrub at Falcon Lake State Park. Found along one of the trails.
