Baltimore Oriole

Icterus galbula

Description:

I saw this adult visiting the nest frequently, so I assume it was feeding its young. The hanging nest was on the edge of a long branch, so it swayed a lot in the wind. The chicks must be accustomed to constant jostling by the time they are ready to leave!

Habitat:

Suburban yard near a large pond
