Large dark brown moth, with tan bands with script like lines beyond the ST line. Large reniform spots, almost eye shaped (This is a Male) Females are Tan with reddish area beyond the ST lines.
Spotted on a sheet hanging on my porch with black lights and halogens shining on it at night to attract moths. We live in a gated lake community surrounded by rural agricultural land, and some wooded areas.
They shake when they feel they are threatened. It is very hard to photograph them, they are quite flighty.
