Habitat:

Woods and forests. This Phiale was found inside a weedy area of a wet rainforest, partially located in an anthropic region.

Bosques e florestas. Esta Phiale foi encontrada dentro de uma área de mato em uma floresta úmida, parcialmente localizada dentro de uma região antrópica.

Notes:

Phiale é um gênero de aranhas papa-moscas da ordem Araneae, subordem Opisthothelae, infraordem Araneomorphae, subdivisão Entelegynae, família Salticidae, subfamília Salticinae, subdivisão Saltafresia, tribo Aelurillini e subtribo Freyina. São encontradas na América do Sul e América Central, e algumas nas ilhas Caribenhas. Há uma grande dificuldade na identificação dessas aranhas, pois o gênero possui uma enorme variação nas cores e padrões entre indivíduos da mesma espécie. Como um Salticídeo, são muito dóceis e caçam insetos ativamente ao invés de depender de teias para capturá-los. São inofensivas para humanos e animais, sendo perigosas apenas para insetos. Essa variação de cor parece ser rara, pois aparentemente o outro e único registro do que parece ser extremamente similar ao indivíduo retratado pode ser achado na fonte que proporcionei nesse post.

Phiale is a genus of jumping spiders in the order Araneae, suborder Opisthothelae, infraorder Araneomorphae, subdivision Entelegynae, family Salticidae, subfamily Salticinae, subdivision Saltafresia, tribe Aelurillini and subtribe Freyina. They are found in South America and Central America, with some being endemic to some of the Caribbean islands. There is a great difficulty in identifying these spiders, as this genus is known to possess an enormous variation in coloring and patterns between individuals of the same species. As a Salticid, they are very docile and hunt insects actively instead of relying on webs to ensnare prey. They are harmless to humans and animals, being dangerous only to insects. This variation in coloring seems to be really rare, as apparently the only other register of what seems very similar to the individual portrayed can be found in the source I provided in this post.
