Blue mint beetle

Chrysolina coerulans

Description:

A Blackish color larvae turns into a beautiful blue mint beetle. These are found abundantly more during rainy season. Sometimes they appear in groups. Both adults and larvae feed on the foliage of cultivated and wild mints, Mentha spp.

Notes:

The adult beetle is 7mm long and is a shiny dark blue color.
