Meadow Vole

Microtus pennsylvanicus

Description:

Small, gray, mouse critter. Did not get a great look at it, so not 100% sure on the id. Found under a log.

Habitat:

open field

Notes:

Found under a log. I was so shocked to see him when we lifted up the log that I just stared and forgot to take a picture. It was also pretty surprised, as it just sat there for a few seconds before running.
