Description:

Often referred to as a "living fossil", the Dawn Redwood was once thought to be extinct, but was rediscovered in the 1940s. This particular specimen was purchased by Carrie Goodell in the 1950s, and is still a show-piece at Goodell Gardens & Homestead.
