Pluvialis squatarola
Nests in Arctic lowlands on dry tundra. Winters on coastal beaches and estuaries. May use flooded pasture and agricultural land
There were some of these mixed in with a larger group of Dunlins and Least Sandpipers, and while those guys let me get relatively close to take some pictures, These guys were very wary and would run a distance away every time I got a little closer. They are in the nonbreeding plumage.
