Isabella Tiger Moth

Pyrrharctia isabella

Rust colored moth, with fuzzy thorax and band of darker spots across lower portion of wings. Varies in darkness of spots and bands, some are quite faint.

Spotted on a sheet hanging on my porch with black lights and halogens shining on it at night to attract moths. We live in a gated lake community surrounded by rural agricultural land, and some wooded areas. National Moth Week 2017.

Another common moth found on the sheets in our location.
