Good point! I hope you find the right one; many of them look similar.

Machi: there were several plants, and they all grew in a very dry spot.. right up next to a parking lot. The info I've read said that C. floridana grows in moist areas. This is definitely not moist. I will keep checking other Coreopsis species however. Thanks for the pointer. :)
