Description:

In North America it grows mainly in the summer & fall, but will grow year round in warmer climates.

Habitat:

Grows in North America, Europe and the western cape of South Africa. Tends to grown on natural wood and lumber, in this case a pine tree stump. Loves a warm humid climate and needs lots of water to survive to the stage it is in this picture. (We'd had 2 weeks of daily rain when this one was spotted)
